Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. It was cold and I was full of chocolate. When I was walking down 9th avenue, around 3 o’clock, I saw a young girl heading home from school. She was carrying a bag of candy and Valentines before she tripped, spilling the contents of her bag on the concrete. Loose skittles spread over the pavement and crudely folded pieces of construction paper landed on the busy street. Much of her candy was now ruined and many of the Valentines she had received from her classmates were now lost. I still think she had a better day than me.

Anyways, Thundercat recently released a new song called “Friend Zone.” It’s futuristic and nostalgic. It’s funky and funny. I recommend you listen to it, as this track might just help ease your post Valentine’s Day blues.
