TRiPPJONES’ new EP, Shadow Stories, is the sonic manifestation of reading a spooky urban legend before bedtime. Hailing from lower east side Manhattan, TRiPPJONES has a vocal style that is equal parts lifeless and textured. His seemingly unmeasured, yet nuanced, delivery is only further enhanced by the eerie production of Tobias and Tony Seltzer. The EP is brief, clocking in at around 17 minutes, but it is a rewarding journey nonetheless. TRiPPJONES functions as a kind of half awake narrator that guides listeners through the intricate and organic instrumentals. In short, this is the perfect tape to listen to when your goth girlfriend reads you your daily horoscope.

TRiPPJONES has been putting out quality content for a while now, and I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for the rest of 2017. Check out some more of his work here, and be sure to give Tobias and Tony Seltzer some love too.
